Yesterday was Christmas, and I hope you all had a great time with your family’s and friends. To me, the traditions and things we do with those we love is way better than getting things I don’t need or particularly want from them.
Our daughter is with her mother for the holiday, so we didn’t have her around. And since the ripping and tearing an burying the dog with spent wrapping paper element of Christmas is more suited for kids… Well, we didn’t do any of it. We slept in, got up late, and streamed movies through the Xbox.
Around 1500 it started snowing. There was a winter storm watch in effect (until noon today) that threatened to drop a large amount of snow on us. But it started off pretty mild.
But winter storms always start off giving you hope. It wavered between serious and futzing around until after it was dark enough to close the blinds. Then it got serious about delivering a white Christmas:
This morning, it’s much lighter than it was and we have a lot of snow (around 5-1/2 inches I think).
No one ever wrote the song I’m dreaming of a white day after Christmas… I’ll be working from home today, I think.
