Burlington Northern Santa Fe

Burlington Northern and Santa Fe trains are by far the more prevalent of the two major rail carriers I see on my way to and from work. I’ve come to learn that this stretch of rail is known as the Colorado Joint Line, and has a mildly interesting history, if you’re a fan of such things.

Though I think Union Pacific runs better-looking trains, I see more BNSF hardware. For the short term, I really doubt that’s going to change. Here is a small collection of the BNSF trains I’ve seen since I’ve started making it a point to photograph them.
