Die Mondfinsternis

(Scroll for English translation).

I wasn’t happy with my pictures of the lunar eclipse. I took a lot of photos, but only a few were good. We drove to the overlook on Old Stage Road. There we could see Colorado Springs… and hopefully the lunar eclipse. My family and I had a good time, despite the rude, loud, and obnoxious people around us. (I have to find a more solitary place for next time).

I think the lights of Colorado Springs are pretty.

Thank you! I think I’m mostly disappointed because for a while, it looked as if we weren’t going to be seriously disturbed.

But the city lights photos did turn out well, and watching the eclipse with my family was fun.

Wow, Matt! The city lights are incredibly beautiful. I love those photos. Also like the eclipse that you shared. I did not get any showing red like that.

Thanks. I guess as quick snapshot-type photos, there are quite a few good ones… You just can’t look too closely at them.

Overall, while the results of the photography were a little disappointing, the time with my family was definitely a prize.
