Mixed Freight in the Rain – BNSF 8055

I know these aren’t among the best train photos I’ve taken. They’re blurry and a little hurried. It was cold and a little miserable out in the rain, and I was concerned about keeping my camera as dry as I could. My jacket was soaked through… and the sweatshirt I was wearing under that… and so was my shirt. But the atmosphere in the rain… that’s priceless. And I think there’s something here.

BNSF 8055, a GE ES44C4, leads the way south. One element I like about these photos is how the headlamp illuminates the raindrops in front of the train.
