Unit Coal Train — BNSF 8426

BNSF 8426, an EMD SD70ACe, peeks around the bend, paired with sister SD70ACe, BNSF 8551. They were pulling a load of coal south through Colorado Springs.

I was trying out a new position for photos, down toward the bottom of the embankment (which is steeper and taller than it looks in these pictures), and looking up. You can see how moody the clouds were to the south as the train passed my position:

A third EMD SD70ACe, BNSF 9156 was coupled to an EMD SD70MAC, BNSF 9648 to bring up the rear.
