Rail Equipment

Just a collection of random railroad stuff for tracks at the McPherson Depot. It’s rusty and maybe at the end of its usefulness. Is it time for its fifteen minutes of fame?

Nur ein Sammlung von zufällige Eisenbahn-Dinge für Gleise am McPherson Depot. Es ist rostig und vielleicht an der Ende seine Nützlichkeit. Ist es die Zeit für seine fünfzehn Minuten Ruhm?

I see piles of stuff like this and I always want to go digging through them just to see if I find anything cool in there.

I can definitely understand that. 🙂
I try to stay back far enough to not irritate the security gods, but it’s often difficult to do that when I know I’m probably missing some great material.

Ha, ha. On the way out to some of our job sites I have to drive through farm land and I swear some of the stuff out there looks like it has been abandoned for decades. Give me a shovel and a pickaxe and a couple of hours and I’m sure I could find something worthy of hanging on the wall or placing on a table, guaranteed to generate conversation, if anything!

I agree… that said, I’ve also met people who have — what looks to me — a yard full of trash and discarded, abandoned junk; but they know they have a frobnosticator for an 1875 Delorean Sprite in such and such a pile. Makes me go O_O (and also makes me go… “uh, why?!”)
