Such a great shot! Purple is my favorite color, and I like jellyfish a lot. If you have never been, definitely visit the Monterey Bay Aquarium in Monterey, CA at least once. Their jellyfish exhibit is truly incredible!

I have been there, and it was awesome. This one was taken at the Downtown Aquarium in Denver.

Oh man, now I think I need to plan a summer trip up there, as its been a couple of years since we last went. The last time the wife and I went we drove up the coast on HWY1, past, I think it was Hearst Castle and so many cool pictures spots! Very cool, creepy at night, though. We found some guy literally dressed like an eskimo walking along the very dark and empty highway near the cliffs. Came out of nowhere in our headlights. HA! Good times!

That was going to be my plan when I was out there: I had to go to San Diego for a friend’s wedding, and thought about driving PCH to Monterrey (my brother was stationed there at the time). I ended up just flying and saving myself the frustration of driving in California.

Ha, ha! Yeah PCH can get hairy during the busy season. If you get stuck behind an RV or something you will literally crawl along, as there aren’t many turn outs or places to park. However, if you get the chance, definitely do it. As a photographer I promise you will find a wealth of awesome opportunities for some great pictures, and there are some truly interesting places along the way.

Yeah, I imagine it can get that way.

At the time, I was driving a 1985 Jaguar XJS with the 5.3L V12. It would have been an extremely expensive (and, I imagine, frustrating) road trip.
