Unit Coal Train in Greenland — BNSF 5766

No, not the Greenland. My wife and I first saw this train as it came into Larkspur, and I tried to get a pic of it crossing the old Santa Fe bridge on the south side of Larkspur. But that photo wasn’t so hot — we headed south and waited at the crossing at Noe Road. I got these photos there.

In the lead is BNSF 5766 and CREX 1413, a pair of GE ES44ACs rocking it Elephant Style.




The lead engines round the bend and head toward Spruce:


While a long load of coal stretches off toward the north.


And a pair of EMD SD70ACes bring up the rear in the form of BNSF 8521 and BNSF 9133:
